Automate the Cloud Inc. — Additional Permission for Internal Training

In addition to the permissions granted by that license, Automate the Cloud Inc. grants organizations, including for-profit companies, a worldwide, royalty-free, nonexclusive permission to reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute these materials within their organization solely to train their own employees and contractors. This includes placing materials and adaptations on an access-controlled internal learning platform.

This permission applies even when internal training of employees and contractors provides a commercial benefit to the organization, subject to the following conditions:

Attribution. Retain credit to Automate the Cloud Inc., existing copyright notices, a link to the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, and this permission notice. Clearly identify modifications.

Internal use only. Access under this additional permission must be limited to the organization’s employees and contractors. Employees and contractors may deliver training as part of their normal paid duties. A contractor engaged to provide training services is treated as an outside training provider under the condition below.

No sale or paid training offering. This additional permission does not authorize selling, licensing for a fee, or otherwise commercially distributing the materials or adaptations, whether separately or bundled with another product or service. It does not authorize using them in paid courses, workshops, subscriptions, or training services offered to customers or other third parties, or charging employees or contractors to access the materials or attend training incorporating them.

Outside training providers. This additional permission does not authorize an outside provider to sell training services incorporating the materials, even when the provider’s customer uses that training internally.

No endorsement. Do not imply that Automate the Cloud Inc. endorses, sponsors, or certifies your organization, adaptations, or training.

This permission covers only material for which Automate the Cloud Inc. holds the necessary rights. Third-party content and separately licensed software or code remain subject to their respective licenses.

This notice grants additional permission; it does not modify or restrict rights available under CC BY-NC 4.0, another applicable license, or applicable law. Except for the limited permission stated above, the CC BY-NC 4.0 terms remain unchanged.

Commercial uses outside these permissions require separate written authorization from Automate the Cloud Inc.
